Mumbai/Pune, April 22 -- The 108 emergency ambulance service, a critical pillar of Maharashtra's healthcare system, has achieved a major milestone by providing timely medical assistance to 546,010 accident victims across the state and provided support to the armed forces during Operation Sindoor in Kashmir.

The service has played a vital role in reaching accident sites promptly, administering immediate care, and safely transporting patients to hospitals, an official release stated on Wednesday.

Operated by Bharat Vikas Group (BVG) in collaboration with the Maharashtra government's health department, the 108 ambulance service focuses on delivering quick and quality emergency medical support to citizens.
