Visakhapatnam, Aug. 4 -- As many as 100 former contract employees of Visakhapatnam Airport secured job offers at a special recruitment drive organised on Tuesday following the commencement of operations at the Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport, Bhogapuram (Vizianagaram District).
The special job fair, an initiative of Visakhapatnam MP M. Sribharat, was organised to provide alternative employment opportunities to contract workers affected by the shift in airport operations.
A total of 450 candidates participated in the recruitment drive, while 150 candidates were shortlisted for final interviews.
