London, March 4 -- The countdown to the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 gathered pace on Wednesday as England and Wales marked 100 days to go until the opening match of the global showpiece.

The 10th edition of the tournament will begin on June 12, with 12 teams competing for the title to be decided at Lord's Cricket Ground on July 5, as per the International Cricket Council (ICC) website.

A special celebration was held at Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham, venue for the tournament opener, where England players Nat Sciver-Brunt, Sophia Dunkley and Lauren Filer were present to mark the milestone. The iconic Edgbaston scoreboard lit up with the '100 Days To Go' message.
