Hyderabad, Aug. 11 -- The Telangana State AIDS Control Society will organise a massive awareness rally in Hyderabad on August 12, to mark the launch of a two-month campaign aimed at preventing HIV, AIDS and syphilis and promoting timely treatment.
Project Director Vidyasagar said around 1,500 people would participate in the rally, which will begin at 0700 hours from HMDA grounds near IMAX and proceed towards Necklace Road railway station.
Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha, Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, local MLAs and senior officials will participate in the rally. NCC and NSS students, nursing students, volunteers from voluntary organisations and citizens are also expected to join.
