Kozhikode, March 25 -- Following in the footsteps of Congress Kerala leaders, party national president Mallikarjun Kharge on Wednesday alleged that the CPM and BJP have a secret deal in Kerala.
Kharge alleged an 'unholy nexus' exists between the CPM and BJP in Kerala.
Addressing a UDF election rally in Kozhikode, Kharge said there is a strong undercurrent between the LDF and the BJP in Kerala. He said a vote for the CPM is a vote for the BJP and that the BJP is trying to make the CPM win in the state assembly polls.
"That is why the BJP has not fielded strong candidates in many constituencies," Kharge said.
He criticised the LDF for standing with the BJP, not with the people. "If you want change, you should vote for the UDF," he said.
