New Delhi, Aug. 15 -- The Ministry of Culture on Saturday said the Suryapath Tiranga global relay was underway as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga 2026 campaign, with the national flag being hoisted at Indian Missions and Posts across the world in a symbolic celebration of India's Independence Day.
According to the ministry, between 1:30 am and 10:30 am IST, 21 Indian Missions and Posts across countries from East to West participated in the relay by hoisting the tricolour.
The initiative follows the path of the rising sun across different time zones, creating a continuous sequence of flag hoistings and carrying the spirit of India's freedom, unity and national pride across the world.
