Srinagar, Oct. 2 -- J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday said that "Satyameva Jayate" - truth alone triumphs - must remain a guiding principle for democracy, as he called for upholding Mahatma Gandhi's ideals of truth and non-violence.
Speaking at a Gandhi Jayanti celebration organised by the School Education Department in collaboration with the Department of Culture, Sinha extended greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
