New Delhi, March 24 -- Amid escalating tensions in West Asia and disruptions to global supply chains, the Centre on Tuesday sought to reassure the public on fuel security, noting that refineries were functioning at high capacity with adequate crude inventories and that petrol and diesel stocks were sufficient.
Addressing an inter-ministerial media briefing, Sujata Sharma, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, said all domestic fuel operations remain stable. "All the refineries are operating at high capacity with adequate crude inventories. We have sufficient stock of petrol and diesel," she assured.
