New Delhi, July 31 -- The Delhi government has extended the deadline for mandatory use of the Pink Saheli Smart Card (National Common Mobility Card) for free bus travel by women to August 16, allowing commuters to continue using the existing pink ticket system until August 15, officials said on Friday.
The move comes a day before the earlier deadline of August 1, which would have made the smart card compulsory for women to avail the free travel scheme in Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) and Delhi Transport Department buses.
