Meerut, Sept. 21 -- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has lamented that nepotism and casteism have plagued the country's politics.
Addressing the Shakti Kendra coordinators conference on Monday, he targetted the Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party, and Congress saying that for these parties, power had become a means of exploitation and nepotism. He said that such a mindset has led to the perception in politics that coming to power means pursuing one's own interests.
The Chief Minister said that the BJP has changed the direction of politics. He said that the BJP's philosophy of service has changed the way questions should be framed. "The question should not be what I will get, but what I am doing for my country," he observed.
