Chandigarh, June 2 -- Posters declaring senior Shiromani Akali Dal leader and former Punjab minister Bikram Singh Majithia as "missing" surfaced in parts of Majitha constituency on Tuesday, days after a police case was registered against him and several others in connection with the alleged release of an Akali worker from police custody.
The posters appeared as the Punjab Police has intensified efforts to trace Majithia following the registration of an FIR against him and more than 50 supporters.
The police through posters, which quickly drew public attention, also appealed directly to local residents to assist law enforcement by sharing any credible information of Majithia's whereabouts and referred to allegations linked to an incident a...
