Los Angeles, March 6 -- Filmmaker Peter Jackson, known for directing "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, "The Hobbit" trilogy, and "King Kong", will be honoured with an honorary 'Palme d'Or' at the Cannes Film Festival.
