Bengaluru, April 19 -- Former union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur today escalated his attack on the Congress and its allies, using a sharp Olympic metaphor to accuse the opposition of consistently blocking women's reservation legislation.
Addressing a press conference here, Thakur said, "If misogyny were an Olympic sport, Congress would win a gold medal," as he targeted the opposition INDIA bloc, including the Trinamool Congress, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and Samajwadi Party, over the defeat of the Constitution Amendment Bill linked to the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam.
