Srinagar, Sept. 8 -- Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali on Tuesday said Kashmir has immense cinematic potential and expressed hope that filmmakers would increasingly explore not just its landscapes but also its culture, people and everyday stories.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the second day of the International Film Festival of Jammu & Kashmir (IFFJK), which got underway on Monday, Ali said there was no other cinematic place like Kashmir in the world and recalled the experience of making "Laila Majnu", which was shot entirely in the Valley and was deeply rooted in Kashmiri culture.
