Patna, May 1 -- Taking serious note of the opposition raising fingers over law and order in Bihar, senior BJP leader and former minister Ram Kripal Yadav Friday hit back at Leader of the Opposition Tejaswi Yadav, rejecting his allegations and asserting that the "era of criminals ruling the state" existed during the RJD regime, not under the present government.
Responding sharply to Tejaswi Yadav's recent remark that "criminals have become 'samrat' (emperors)" in Bihar, Ram Kripal Yadav said here that such a situation prevailed during the tenure of Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi. He claimed that under the current leadership of Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, criminals have been forced "into hiding" due to strict law enforcement.
