New Delhi, April 4 -- Disruptive technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) have the potential to transform governments by using it as personalised service delivery experience, improving efficiency of back-end processes, strengthening policy compliance and fraud identification, said a World Bank report released on Saturday.

The report 'Artificial Intelligence in the Public Sector" noted that if AI is used correctly and together with human management and decision making governments can address development challenges.

"Many governments view AI as a strategic resource to enhance a country's competitiveness and to boost economic growth," it said.
