Benapole, May 21 -- Police recovered the bloodstained body of a young man from a bamboo grove at Kirtipur in Jhikargacha upazila of Jashore early Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Abu Huraira Mim, 35, son of Mashiar Rahman of the area.

According to police and locals, Mim had been missing since Wednesday afternoon after leaving home.

Locals spotted his bloodstained body lying inside a bamboo grove by the Jashore-Benapole Highway near his house in the early hours and informed police.

Police recovered the body around 8:00am and sent it to Jashore General Hospital morgue autopsy, said Officer-in-Charge of Jhikargacha Police Station Golam Kibria Hasan.
