Chuadanga, May 19 -- year-old man was electrocuted and killed while collecting mangoes during a storm in the Farmpara area of Chuadanga municipality.

The incident occurred around 2:00am on Tuesday at the BADC farm area adjacent to Chuadanga Railway Station.

Chuadanga Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mizanur Rahman confirmed the incident and said the deceased was identified as Saddam Hossain, son of Alam Hossain of Farmpara in Chuadanga municipality.

Family members said Saddam went to the nearby BADC farm late at night amid storm and rain to collect mangoes. He was critically injured after accidentally coming into contact with a live electrical wire at the site.
