Chandpur, Oct. 3 -- A man died after being electrocuted while installing a ceiling fan regulator in his house in Chandpur Sadar upazila on Friday evening.

The deceased was identified as Hasibullah, 22, the only son of Shefayet Ullah of Paschim Sapdi village under Baghadi union.

According to family members, Hasibullah was installing a ceiling fan regulator in his room around 8:00pm when he accidentally came into contact with live electricity and sustained severe injuries.

Relatives rescued him and rushed him to Chandpur Government General Hospital, where attending emergency physician Dr. Tanmoy Majumder declared him dead upon arrival.
