NARSINGDI, Aug. 14 -- A young man died after falling between two coaches of a Titas Commuter train while trying to get down from its roof at Narsingdi Railway Station on Friday morning.

The deceased was identified as Md Amir Hossain, 28, son of the late Shamsul Haque of Nagar Baniadi village in Narsingdi Sadar upazila.

The accident occurred around 7:30am as the train was leaving the station, railway police, witnesses and the victim's family members said.

Amir had gone to the Kella Shah shrine in Akhaura, Brahmanbaria, with two friends on Thursday afternoon. They stayed there overnight and returned to Narsingdi on the roof of the Titas Commuter train on Friday morning.
