Youth detained in Feni over 'offensive Facebook posts' on Zaima Rahman
Feni, June 29 -- A young man was handed over to police by local activists of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) and residents in Feni's Daganbhuiyan upazila on Monday evening over allegations of posting offensive comments about Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's daughter, Barrister Zaima Rahman, on Facebook.
The detainee is Mosleh Uddin Jony, 23, son of late Mohammad Mostafa of East Joynarayanpur village under Rajapur union. He recently returned to Bangladesh from abroad.
According to local sources and police, Jony had allegedly been posting offensive
and abusive remarks about Zaima Rahman from his personal Facebook account for some time.
