, May 17 -- year-old housewife was slaughtered allegedly by her husband in Bhomra area of Sadar upazila in Satkhira on Saturday night.

The victim, identified as Taslima Khatun, was found critically injured at her home in Laxmidari village around 11:30pm. She was rushed to Satkhira Sadar Hospital, where doctors declared her dead.

According to the victim's 12-year-old daughter Sadia Sultana, her father Saddam Hossain was allegedly addicted to drugs and frequently quarrelled with her mother.
