Bogura, Oct. 30 -- A woman was allegedly strangled to death by her husband following a family dispute in Dhunat upazila of Bogura district on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Rupali Khatun, 35. Police arrested her husband, Nurul Islam, 38, son of Ishar Ali of Mathurapur village in the upazila, in connection with the murder.

The incident took place around 11am in the Mathurapur area. Police recovered the body around noon.

According to police, Rupali and her husband had been having disputes over family matters. They locked into an argument on Friday morning, following which Nurul allegedly strangled her with her scarf.

On information, police went to the spot, recovered the body and sent it for autopsy.
