Dhaka, Aug. 18 -- sufficiency in meeting its domestic fish demand, and is now focusing on expanding fisheries exports, State Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Sultan Salauddin Tuku said Tuesday.

"The fisheries sector has achieved full self-sufficiency in meeting domestic demand. Now our priority is to increase exports," the state minister said, in remarks addressing a discussion as part of National Fisheries Fortnight 2026, organised by the Department of Fisheries at its conference room.
