Dhaka, May 26 -- Rainfall over the past several days has left the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) Residential Area and adjacent Bakshibazar area submerged under water, intensifying public suffering and raising concerns ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.

Roads, alleys and low-lying spaces inside the BUET residential zone and nearby areas remained waterlogged on Tuesday as rainwater accumulated due to inadequate drainage system.
