Naogaon, May 26 -- Wails and tears have gripped Rajendrabati village in Manda upazila of Naogaon as six victims of a tragic road accident in Tangail were laid to rest on Tuesday.

Six of the deceased were buried side by side after a namaz-e-janaza in the village early in the morning.

The entire village turned into a scene of grief as bodies of the victims arrived one after another, with relatives and locals gathering in large numbers to catch a final glimpse of their loved ones.

Rows of coffins were placed in open fields as mourners broke down in tears.

Local residents said they had never witnessed such a mass tragedy in the area before.
