, April 21 -- A delegation led by US Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent T Christensen on Tuesday paid a courtesy call on State Minister for Food, Md. Abdul Bari and discussed issues of mutual interest, including wheat imports from the United States and broader bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting the state minister expressed satisfaction that the wheat shipments arrived in Bangladesh on schedule despite the current global situation and thanked all concerned for their support.

The US ambassador also thanked the state minister and expressed hope for enhanced cooperation between the two countries, particularly in expanding trade and promoting the welfare of the people of both nations.
