Dhaka, June 23 -- UNOPS Bangladesh on Tuesday showcased a localised approach to advancing gender equality and inclusive governance through an SDG Model Dissemination Session on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 5 and 16 in Chattogram.

The event held a local hotel brought together government officials, development partners, youth leaders, civil society representatives and educators to discuss ways to strengthen women's leadership and inclusive governance at the local level.

The dissemination session is part of the joint programme, "Enhancing Women's Political Leadership through SDG 5 and SDG 16 Localisation in Bangladesh," being implemented by UNOPS in partnership with UN Women with support from the Joint SDG Fund.
