Dhaka, Sept. 16 -- Police recovered the hanging body of a university student from a house in the capital's Jigatala area on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Rafsad Mostafa Ruhin, 22, a second-year student of Daffodil International University and son of Jamal Uddin Ripon of Sipahipara in Munshiganj.

Rafsad's maternal cousin Imtiaz Kamal said he spoke to Rafsad over the phone around 12:05am on Wednesday when Rafsad told him that he had finished working out at a gym and gone to a salon to have his hair cut, after which he was supposed to go to the airport.

However, he could not go to the airport due to a lack of time.
