Dhaka, Sept. 20 -- An unidentified young man died after being found unconscious with apparent injuries in the city's Bangshal area early Sunday.

The youth, aged around 25, was found near the Kasaituli Jumman Community Centre intersection and taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) around 12:00am, where doctors declared him dead.

A passerby, Tanvir Hossain, said he saw the youth lying unconscious with apparent injuries at the intersection while travelling by rickshaw. With the help of local residents, he took the youth to the hospital.

He said both legs of the youth appeared to be broken and there was an injury mark on the right side of his head.
