Dhaka, Aug. 19 -- A delegation from UNESCO's Dhaka office paid a courtesy call on Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, and Science and Technology Minister Faqir Mahbub on Wednesday to brief him on UNESCO's ongoing and upcoming work in Bangladesh, particularly in digital transformation, and explore opportunities to strengthen cooperation.

During the meeting, discussions focused on responsible, ethical and human-centred AI governance, building on UNESCO's support to Bangladesh's AI Readiness Assessment (AI-RAM), alongside opportunities for cooperation on AI and STEM, skills development and institutional capacity.
