Dhaka, Sept. 27 -- The candidates who were recommended for government primary school assistant teacher posts but yet to receive appointment letters staged a sit-in at Shahbagh in the capital on Sunday.

The protesters from across the country gathered in front of Dhaka University Central Library in the morning and later marched towards Shahbagh.

They took position on the road in front of Shahbagh Police Station around 11am, demanding issuance of their appointment letters within today (Sunday).
