, April 5 -- An unauthorised drone has been seized in the VIP area of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka after detecting an illegal operation.

It was seized around 8:37pm on April 4 when it was being used to capture video footage in front of the VIP Pole Gate during the arrival of players of the SAFF Championship.

Preliminary investigation found that the drone was being operated without prior permission from the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) in violation of existing regulations, said a press release.
