Chandpur, Sept. 4 -- Two people died in separate incidents in Chandpur on Thursday, one after being run over by a train and another allegedly by suicide.

A man, around 55, whose identity could not immediately be known, was killed after being run over by a Sagarika Express train in South Tarpur Chandi area of Chandpur Sadar around 2:30pm.

Police recovered the body and informed the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) to help identify him, said Chandpur Railway Police Station Officer-in-Charge Rajib Kar.

Meanwhile, police recovered the hanging body of Ershad Ullah, 45, an autorickshaw driver, from a coconut tree beside a road in Srirampur village of Kachua upazila around noon.
