Dhaka, Sept. 16 -- Two newly built Temporary Operational Bases (TOBs) have been inaugurated in Arachchhatala Tila and Haturani Tila in Ghumdhum Union of Naikhongchhari upazila, Bandarban, to strengthen border surveillance along the Bangladesh-Myanmar border.

Brigadier General Kazi Shamsher Uddin, Commander of the BGB Cox's Bazar Region, inaugurated the bases on Wednesday morning, according to a press release from 34 BGB.

During the visit, the Region Commander inspected the facilities and gave instructions to BGB personnel deployed at the bases.

He urged them to remain highly vigilant and carry out their duties with professionalism and competence.
