Cumilla, June 24 -- Rail communications of Chattogram with the rest of the country remained suspended for more than three hours on Wednesday after the locomotive of a train broke down near Hasanpur Station in Nangalkot upazila and four bogies of another train derailed in the Gunabati area Chauddagram upazila.

The twin incidents disrupted rail communication on the Chattogram-Dhaka and Chattogram-Sylhet routes, causing severe inconvenience to passengers who got stranded at different stations.

Laksam Junction Station Master Omar Faruk said train services resumed after remaining suspended for over three hours.
