MYMENSINGH, Sept. 14 -- Train communications on the Dhaka-Mymensingh route resumed Sunday night, six hours after a wagon of a freight train derailed in Gafargaon upazila of Mymensingh.

According to Akhtar Hossain, officer-in-charge (OC) of Mymensingh Railway Police Station, the Dhaka-bound freight train derailed at around 5:15 p.m. in the Golabari area, located between Kawraid and Mashakhali railway stations in Dakshin Gafargaon.

Following the incident, a relief train dispatched from Dhaka arrived at the spot, salvaged the derailed wagon and repaired the damaged track.
