Traffic flow remains largely normal on 105km Cumilla stretch amid Eid rush
Cumilla, May 26 -- Eid homebound passengers experienced relatively smoother travel on a 105-kilometre stretch of Dhaka-Chattogram highway in Cumilla on the second day of the government holiday on Tuesday.
From the morning, traffic volume on the highway increased significantly compared to normal days as people continued leaving the capital for their hometowns with family members.
However, passengers said reaching destinations was still taking longer than usual due to heavy traffic pressure on certain sections of the road.
At around 12pm, traffic movement remained largely normal from Meghna-Gomti Bridge toll plaza in Daudkandi to Padua in Chauddagram upazila.
