Dhaka, March 11 -- Traffic will be diverted in several parts of Dhaka on Thursday morning to facilitate the movement of dignitaries attending the first session of the Jatiya Sangsad.

The President, the Prime Minister, members of parliament, foreign diplomats, leaders of various political parties and other dignitaries will attend the session at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, said a notice issued by Dhaka Metropolitan Police .

Due to the event, an increased number of vehicles is expected to move through Urojahaj Mor, Khejur Bagan, Manik Mia Avenue, Asad Gate and the July Memorial Museum (Ganabhaban) intersection, which may cause temporary traffic congestion in surrounding areas, it said.
