Dhaka, May 16 -- The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has seized Indian smuggled goods worth over Tk 1.18 crore in separate anti-smuggling operations along different border areas under its Sylhet Battalion , 48 BGB.

Today, patrol teams from Sonalichela, Banglabazar, Sangram, Pratappur, Kalasadek and Panthumai Border Outposts (BOPs) under Border Guard Bangladesh conducted multiple operations in different border areas.

During the drives, BGB personnel seized large quantities of Indian cumin, sugar, cigarettes, blankets, medicines, liquor and cattle. In addition, a significant amount of tea leaves being smuggled from Bangladesh to India was also confiscated.
