Dhaka, Aug. 19 -- Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) has expressed deep shock at the demise of its former Board of Trustees member Tawfique Nawaz.

On behalf of its Board of Trustees, management and members, as well as the Committees of Concerned Citizens (CCC), Youth Engagement and Support (YES), and Active Citizens Groups (ACG) - formed under TIB's inspiration across the country - the organisation in a message prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed its deepest condolences to his bereaved family.

Tawfique Nawaz, husband of former minister Dr Dipu Moni, died at a hospital in Dhaka on Tuesday night at the age of 79.
