Narsingdi, July 16 -- Three children, including two siblings, drowned and another child went missing while taking bath in the Kakon River at Barokanda village in Raipura upazila of Narsingdi on Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Jannat Islam, 9, and Asheya, 9, daughters of Rubel Mia, and Tabia, 13, daughter of Shamim Mia, of the Barokanda village. They were students of a local madrasah.

Witnesses said 6-7 madrasah students went to the river at noon for a bath after classes.
