LAKSHMIPUR, Sept. 6 -- Water Resources Minister Shahiduddin Chowdhury Anee on Saturday warned opposition parties against threatening the BNP with a one-point movement, asserting that today's BNP is a political party born from 17 years of street struggles.
Addressing a pre-rally gathering marking the BNP's 48th founding anniversary, Annie criticized the opposition's relentless protests over the past six months. He equated the NCP with Jamaat-e-Islami, stating their long march speeches mirror fascist rhetoric.
"Everyone desires a beautiful Bangladesh. We successfully held elections, yet they launched protests heading toward a one-point movement," Annie said.
