Dhaka, April 23 -- Police have arrested three suspects and recovered stolen construction materials in connection with a theft at Super Specialized Hospital of Bangladesh Medical University at Shahbagh in Dhaka.

The arrestees were Al Mamun Sarker, 33, Md Mamunur Rashid, 40 and Md Masum Billah, 35.

Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, NM Nasiruddin, said the incident took place around 6: 00am on Tuesday when a group of thieves stole construction materials (scraps) from the engineering section of a project at Basement-2 of the hospital using a mini truck.

Following the theft incident, a case was filed at Shahbagh Police Station.
