Chattogram, May 20 -- A Thai national was killed after being stabbed during a quarrel with another foreign crew member aboard a ship anchored in the sea off Anwara in Chattogram on Tuesday night.

The deceased was identified as Rafifong Kalahan, 30, a citizen of Thailand and a crew member of the vessel named MTKPP01.

According to sources at Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH), an altercation broke out between the two foreign crew members on the ship at the Charlie Anchor Point, during which Rafifong was stabbed.

He was taken to the CMCH around 9:00pm in a critical condition, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead, said Sub-Inspector Nurul Alam Ashik, in-charge of the police outpost at the hospital.
