Dhaka, Sept. 21 -- year-old worker died after being electrocuted during sanitary work at an under-construction building in Jahurul Islam City, known as Aftabnagar, in the capital on Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as Niham, son of Chan Miah Gazi from Uttar Nanupur Miyaji Bari village in Chandpur Sadar upazila. He resided with his family in F-Block of Jahurul Islam City under Badda Police Station.

According to his co-worker Al-Amin, Niham was working on the 7th floor of the building, when he suddenly came into contact with a live electric wire around 11:00am and lost consciousness.
