Dhaka, Aug. 30 -- year-old girl was gang-raped allegedly by her boyfriend and four of his friends while they were out on a trip to Lalmai Hills in Cumilla.

Police arrested one of the accused, Sakib, 22, involved in the incident.

Sakib was arrested from the Lalmai Hills area of Sadar Dakshin Upazila on Sunday afternoon, said Rakibul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Sadar Dakshin Model Police Station.

Sakib is the son of Shahid Mia from the Ujirpur area of Kalir Bazar Union in Adarsh Sadar Upazila of the district.

Quoting the victim, police said that on Saturday (August 29) afternoon, the girl came to Dharmasagar area of Cumilla city from her house in Chandina Upazila of the district after receiving a call from her boyfriend Siam. Siam ...
