Cumilla, Sept. 23 -- Prof Nilufar Sultana, a teacher of Cumilla Victoria Government College who handed over three female students to police after allegedly labelling them as "militants", has been transferred to the National Academy for Educational Management (NAEM), while the students have demanded justice in the case.

College Principal Prof Mohammad Abul Bashar Bhuiyan confirmed the transfer on Wednesday.

The Secondary and Higher Education Division issued a notification on Tuesday night, appointing Nilufar, a professor of the Department of Chemistry, as a training specialist at NAEM.

Nilufar also held several key positions at Victoria College during the Awami League government.
