, June 21 -- Swedish Ambassador to Bangladesh Nicolas Weeks met Leader of the Opposition and Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman at his Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban office on Sunday.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed the post-election situation in Bangladesh, bilateral relations and investment between Bangladesh and Sweden, international relations and other issues of mutual interest, according to a press release issued by Jamaat.

They also expressed optimism that Swedish investment in Bangladesh will increase further in the future and hoped for Sweden's continued strong support for Bangladesh.
