Dhaka, Aug. 23 -- Vivek Oberoi made a memorable debut with Company, but securing his first opportunity in Bollywood was far from easy. His father, veteran actor Suresh Oberoi, recalled how he personally went from one door to another in search of work for his son and eventually approached filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, who gave Vivek the breakthrough that launched his career.

Speaking in an interview with Nidhi Vasandani on her YouTube channel, Suresh said he had to struggle to find opportunities for Vivek just as he had done at the beginning of his own career.

"I had to struggle for him again, went door to door. Like I used to take my pictures, now I was taking Vivek's pictures," Suresh said.
